Ariel Lewiton is a writer, editor, and literary consultant based in New York. Her essays, stories, and criticism have appeared in The New York Times Magazine, Virginia Quarterly Review, The National, The Paris Review Daily, Los Angeles Review of Books, Vice, Guernica, Catapult, Tin House online, Ninth Letter, and elsewhere. A former editor and culture reporter for China Daily/21st Century and marketing and publicity director for Sarabande Books, she is now a lecture agent and programming consultant. She has an MFA from the University of Iowa's Nonfiction Writing Program.
